As a team, we are clinical trial payment specialists. Not observers of the problem, but people who spent years inside it. Budget negotiations, payment operations, data management, invoice generation. We knew exactly where the process broke down because we were the ones absorbing it.
Not broken in an obvious way. Broken in the way that makes smart people spend their days in spreadsheets, chasing approvals over email, and manually reconciling data that should never have been disconnected in the first place.
The tools that existed were built for something else. EDCs and CTMS platforms were never designed to manage budget negotiation, invoice logic, or payment workflows. General finance software didn't understand clinical trial payment rules. So teams improvised and paid for it in delayed activations, disputed invoices, and finance operations that scaled by adding headcount instead of fixing the underlying system.
We built Hypha to change that. One system where budgets are negotiated, payment logic is defined, invoices are generated, and payments are tracked. From first draft to final payout.
